IACC Seminar 1, Part 2: The Experience of Colour
October 28 - October 30
The first in a series of four six-day seminars in Applied Colour Theory for Architectural Environments
Seminar 1, Part 2 (Zoom session): Friday, October 28 – Sunday, October 30, 2022
Come learn what you may or may not have been taught about colour when you studied architecture and interior design.
This is the English version of Seminar #1 from the IACC series on applied colour in architecture that has been taught in Salzburg, Austria for decades.
This seminar is based in part on the Johannes Itten foundation colour course taught at the Bauhaus, and on Itten’s book The Elements of Color, which is the most widely applied foundation course in colour education.
Starting at the beginning we will explore colour mixing. We will then identify the quality of colour, and also identify different types of contrast, composition and context in the application of colour theory in architectural environments.
In this seminar you will learn to compose balanced, functional and beautiful colour solutions that specifically communicate and support the nature of your clients’ spaces and well-being.
This is the foundation course for all subsequent IACC seminars.
