Behind Closed Doors: Racial Disparities in Design Part III

February 25, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EST

Tune in for a candid conversation between Ian Rolston, Owner and Director of Decanthropy, Yasmien Fadl, AVP Head of Workplace Design & Experience at TD Bank, Joe Pettipas, Global Director, Interior Design for IBI Group, and Farida Abu-Bakare Camara, Project Director at Adjaye Associates. Moderated by IDC CEO, Trevor Kruse, these experienced interior designers will be discussing the topic of racial disparities within Canada’s interior design industry. This is IDC’s third installment of a town hall series on racial disparities and part of IDC’s initiatives for Black History Month.

The discussion will focus on how education, professional practice, and advocacy work can begin to address structural racism with established practices within the industry.
