IDC’s Value of Design Awards (VODA) shine a spotlight on Canadian interior designers by providing a forum to showcase the benefits of design thinking: an empathetic, inventive, and iterative process focused on the human experience within interior spaces.

These awards demonstrate the positive human and business impact of design thinking for the people and companies who hire a professional interior designer. By measuring the benefits and outcomes of design, IDC is showcasing the true value of design across the country and beyond, highlighting innovative, purpose-driven projects and spaces that are beneficial to the client and visitors.

In 2020 – 2022, due to COVID-19’s effect on businesses and interior designers across the country, IDC suspended entry fees for applications in an effort to ease financial burdens and minimize barriers to entry.

IDC is proud of having been able to carry on showcasing the best in Canadian interior design. In order to continue to be able to honour and celebrate our community’s design projects through VODA, IDC will be reintroducing entry fees for 2023 applications.

Submission price: $295 + HST. Deadline to submit is May 18 at 6:00 p.m. ET

VODA winners will be honoured at an awards celebration this fall. In addition, all winning projects will be profiled on IDC’s website, newsletter, and promoted on IDC’s social media channels.
