Last month, the IDC Board of Directors, along with two members of the IDC staff team, had an opportunity to meet in New York City, generously hosted and sponsored by IDC’s long-time national partner, Lutron.

Board members got a very special presentation from Lutron’s team at the Residential and Global Experience Centres, where they learned about exciting new lighting and shading systems, unique lighting solutions, the art of creating a specific mood, as well as the company’s fascinating history.

Lutron provided catered breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, as well as a wonderful evening cruise and dinner on Bateaux New York on the first night, and the Nomad restaurant on the second night.

The boat cruise brought diners in for a close view of the Statue of Liberty, made more beautiful by Lutron lighting. Other prestigious public locations enhanced by Lutron lighting are the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, the Bank of China headquarters in Beijing, and the New York Times building to name just a few.

The IDC board appreciates Lutron’s ongoing support of IDC and commitment to the interior design profession.

These important face-to-face meetings are made possible by generous industry partners, like Lutron.
