Starting in January, IDC membership across Canada will no longer be paid for through the portion of dues that, previously, were combined with provincial dues. Members will receive a separate invoice from IDC, for which payment is due in January 2020. This transition will ensure members continue to enjoy the many benefits of IDC membership.

Some provincial associations such as ARDIO in Ontario, APIDQ in Quebec, PIDIM in Manitoba, and IDNL in Newfoundland and Labrador, have already opted out of collecting dues on IDC’s behalf, beginning the planned transition for IDC to fulfill its mandate as a professional advocacy association that serves the needs of its members. IDC’s focus is on advocacy of designers, the profession, and connecting designers with industry; while provincial associations remain committed to regulating the practice of interior design in the provinces.

There are perks of paying your dues before the January 1, 2020 deadline:

  • Members who pay by Dec. 31, 2019 get a 5% discount

As the national advocacy body, IDC is committed to continuing to provide high quality services and products that deliver measurable benefits for members at every stage of their career, as well as advocating to the public, government, and the wider business community on behalf of Canada’s talented interior design industry.

Our Canadian interior design community is stronger together; when you invest in your national advocacy association, IDC continues to invest in you!
