    IDC Webinar: The New Government of Canada Workplace 2.0 Fit-up Standards – What You Need to Know! (1 non-IDCEC hour)

    The federal government workplace is changing. Last spring,  the new Government of Canada Workplace 2.0 Fit-up Standards were officially released. The new standards reflect current trends in office design including new space allocations, inclusion of collaborative space, new layouts and sustainable design principles.

    The objective of Workplace 2.0 is to create a modern workplace that will enable public servants to work smarter, greener and healthier to serve Canadians better. Workplace 2.0 is a government-wide approach that modernizes how public service works. Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) is leading the way with these new standards.

    If you are involved in government of Canada fit-ups, this webinar will provide you with the tools you need to understand and apply the new standards in your practice. You will learn how to use the Workplace 2.0 space calculator and define worker profiles. This session will provide an opportunity for PWGSC officials to respond to your questions about Workplace 2.0 and designing for the federal government.

    Allie O'Neill, Senior Analyst, Workplace 2.0, National Accommodation Management, PWGSC
    Over the last three years, Allie has worked as a Senior Analyst in a strategic accommodation and advisory role, managing the Treasury Board funded national space of approximately 25 government departments and agencies. She recently joined the Workplace 2.0 team where she can offer her interior design, real property and accommodation experience to this initiative.

    Anne Lalande, PWGSC
    Anne Lalande obtained her interior design diploma from Algonquin College, Ottawa, Ontario, in 1987.  She started her career by working as an interior designer in the private sector for six years before joining the federal government at Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). Anne has significant experience in the real property and accommodation management field.
