Thank you to everyone who joined us at IDC’s 48th Annual General Meeting on Oct. 7, 2020, and a special thanks to all those who were able to attend in person at the Midgley Tecnica showroom in Toronto, Ontario. Your dedication to IDC means the world, especially in such uncertain times.
It is such an honour to be elected as your President for the 2020/2021 term. IDC has an incredible team of staff and board members guiding the organization’s strategic plan and I look forward to working with them all in refining that plan, and helping to bring to life so many great initiatives during my term as IDC President.
We have already begun an important dialogue with our student members – who need us now more than ever. We hope to continue the engagement with students, respond to their needs, and ensure that their futures look bright despite the current global pandemic.
We aim to keep building the association’s leadership and delivering even more amazing programming to members. We will continue to connect members across the country, even if for the time being that connection is mostly virtual.
Your national association will maintain the provision of valuable services, such as continuing education, information sessions, and industry news and updates.
Together, we will continue to celebrate the achievements of our design communities from coast to coast by providing avenues to showcase member stories and the critical work of Canadian interior designers.
I look forward to connecting with so many of you, wherever you may be, over the next year.
