IDC’s Industry Sales Professional Course Toronto

This custom course has been tailored exclusively to meet the needs of IDC’s architecture and design industry sales professionals. The practical, one-day course features Q & A sessions with panels of registered interior designers and architects, drawn from boutique and large design firms serving various design sectors.

In a series of frank and informal exchanges, these leading designers will deliver helpful tips on how their studios operate as well as how to join their network of trusted industry resources.

Glen Brewer is an executive with over 25 years experience in the design and construction industries, He is a current IDC board member, representing manufacturers and suppliers. Glen is also IDC’s industry committee chair and leads IDC’s Sales Professionals Training Courses. Glen is a strong advocate for designers and the design community as an author, teacher, and presenter for IDCEC CEUs. He is an active participant in IDC’s national DesignEX shows as both a speaker/presenter and table-top attendee. Glen also mentors and speaks to many emerging design professionals. As President of Midgley Tecnica, Glen, along with the support of his company, is a strong advocate of IDC as an Industry Partner member.

Seminar: Specifications and their Role in the Project

Specifications are as important to the successful completion of a project as the design documents, however in many instances they are put together at the last minute as somewhat of an afterthought. The conversation in an office can sometimes be…… “Hey all, what are we forgetting?…..OH YEAH! The specifications…. Let’s use the same ones we had for the last project…..” This may sound flippant, however it’s often true. Upon completion of this presentation, attendees will have a better understanding of the importance of specifications in the overall design and execution of the construction project.
