Visit Greenbuild 2011, taking place in Toronto October 4 to 7 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, to experience the industry's top speakers and innovators, 105 education sessions, the latest green building technology from over 1,000 exhibitors, and virtually limitless networking opportunities with global professionals.

In celebration of the first Canada-based Greenbuild, the conference will feature an array of events and opportunities that draw upon the country's leadership and innovation in green building.

Former Canadian Prime Minister Kim Campbell will help ring in Greenbuild during the opening plenary; alongside New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman, ABC News political commentator Cokie Roberts, and medical anthropologist and physician Dr. Paul Farmer. Plus, enjoy a live performance from Maroon 5!

Seven "Best of Canada" education sessions will convene Canada's green building and business leaders to discuss everything from the country's green building codes to the greening of Toronto's central business district.

It isn't hard to locate a green building in Toronto: They're sprinkled throughout this innovative, cosmopolitan city. From offices to art galleries, green roofs to Niagara wineries, experience the country's green building accomplishments firsthand.

Since 2003, Greenbuild has a left a legacy in each host city as a means of service, education and gratitude. USGBC and Canada Green Building Council will see two legacy projects in Toronto through to completion: The Chimney Court Children's Greenhouse and the Gateway Gardens Project.
