Wayne Thomson Bursary Extended

Published by Patrick Voisin, October 11, 2017.

The Wayne Thomson Bursary is awarded annually to one or more candidates who have recently completed the IDFX, IDPX and are eligible for, or have completed, the practicum for the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam.

The bursary, established by IDC and Wayne’s life partner, John Donat, honors the memory of Wayne Thomson – a prominent Ontario interior designer – and assists Intern/Provisional members with the cost of the NCIDQ exam, or its equivalent. Upon Wayne’s passing in October 2015, his partner John graciously donated $10,000 to start the bursary fund and through the donations of family, friends and IDC members, the bursary will last for decades and help students in financial need reach their goal of becoming a Registered interior designer, a qualification that was very important to Wayne.

The Wayne Thomson Bursary has been extended until Oct. 27, 2017; please click here to apply.
