If Toronto is your city, don't let someone else build it

Published by Sarah Bradbury, May 12, 2015.

With the scale and pace of urbanization in Canada accelerating at an unprecedented rate, we are now faced with new economic, social, and environmental challenges. Cities are beginning to recognize this new urban reality as an opportunity to build more sustainable, vibrant, and successful communities.

And we want interior designers to be part of the change!

That’s why IDC CEO Susan Wiggins put her name forward to be part of the Advisory Board of the NXT City Prize 2015 – and she was accepted! With IDC at the table, we will be able to give a higher profile to interior designers and demonstrate the value and expertise of the profession.

NXT City Prize is a competition that challenges entrants to reimagine Toronto’s public spaces and ultimately helps cities and neighbourhoods thrive by responding to the rapidly changing environments of today, for the generation of tomorrow. The grand prize is a cash award, plus the chance to work with a team of leading experts who will turn the winner’s vision into reality!

If you’re under 35, you can submit your idea by July 31!
