Where do we see ourselves in three years?

Published by Sarah Bradbury, March 04, 2015.

The IDC Board has begun the process of developing a new, three-year strategic plan for the organization. That process began on February 25 with a facilitator from Innovia Partners who helped us envision the future of the profession, our organization, and our members.

It was essential for us to contribute feedback from our members during the strategic planning session. That’s why last week we asked you to give us three minutes of your time to answer a short survey. The results of the survey showed that an overwhelming number of respondents felt that IDC’s most important role is to assist provinces in securing better recognition and regulation of the profession.

“Your responses have been critical to ensuring that the plan addresses member needs and expectations,” says Susan Wiggins, CEO at IDC. “We must set a course not only for today, but for tomorrow.”

We would like to thank those of you who took part in the survey and look forward to an exciting three years ahead. In the meantime, we will continue to be your voice, your advocate, and continue to find ways to provide meaningful and relevant programming.
