Update on IDC CEO

Published by Sarah Bradbury, March 22, 2016.

Ron Hughes has moved on from his position as IDC’s interim CEO to focus on other interests. We thank him for his passion for the association and the interior design community as a whole.

The IDC Board has engaged the Bedford Consulting Group to work with the Recruitment Committee on the search process. The target to begin interviewing candidates is mid-May, with the ultimate goal of having a CEO in place by early July.

IDC is asking that you share this employment opportunity with any outstanding individual who could provide operational oversight, strategic guidance and visionary leadership to further expand the impact and reach of the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring 10-15+ years of progressive leadership experience gained within the non-profit sector, combined with a deep awareness of the issues facing the interior design industry. An inclusive and influential leader, the CEO will build community and be a strong advocate for the Canadian interior design industry for many years to come. Bilingualism in English/French is considered an exceptional asset.
