ID Connections

Do you want to be – or have you been – in the news?

Published by Sarah Bradbury, June 22, 2015.

Have you recently completed a project that showcases great interior design?

Are you currently working on a project that tells the story of how working with a professional can get the job done right?

IDC wants to feature you! Submit your projects to IDC and they could be featured on our website, in our newsletter, on our social media channels, in magazine articles or promotional materials and more. Simply fill out this form and we do the rest.

Getting your name out there is a great way to boost business and promote the profession. Just ask Vitorhya Shields, of Shields + Associates Interior Design Consultants. She was featured in the May 2015 issue of Condo Life and says that “within days of the publication a few clients in the proposal stage mentioned that they had seen the article. We also had more than our typical number of similar project requests after the article was published. I believe more people in our specific market now know about the type and scope of work we do.”

Olga Gomes, of OG Design Studio agrees, saying that broadcasting IDC and provincial association affiliations in the media, in whatever format, helps further legitimize interior design. She appeared in a segment on Breakfast Television in January 2015 to talk about IDC’s presence at IDS in Toronto: “Being on Breakfast Television, not only representing my company, but also the profession of interior designers was a great experience. We definitely saw an increase in traffic to our website right after the airing and just on that one appearance, we received several new client inquiries and can point to two new projects.”

And, if you’ve already been featured in print or online, be sure to tell us about it! We are always interested in sharing news about our members. Simply email, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.
