BUILDEX Vancouver is Western Canada’s largest tradeshow and conference for the Construction, Renovation, Architecture, Interior Design and Property Management industries and our IDC Board member, Carol Jones, will be speaking, Thursday, February 16 on the topic of creating a sustainable business development culture.

IDC is very proud to have our members speaking at conferences and trade shows, as we believe it important in spreading awareness about our profession, and especially proper accreditations.

Carol Jones, FIIDA, FIDC, and Richard N. Pollack, FIIDA, FAIA, continue their highly-rated professional practice workshops by explaining, in detail, the business development strategies and tactics that made their firms successful and keep them growing today. The presentation will be from 10 - 11a.m. at BUILDEX Vancouver on Thursday, February 16 in the Vancouver Convention Centre. Richard and Carol will describe the creation of a culture of Business Development throughout the firm in which all staff members can play a role. They will explain how to nurture rainmakers through effective networking and the tools that support business development efforts and make them sustainable for long-term success.

The workshop will include learning how to:

  1. Create a strategic business development plan.
  2. Establish the best tactics to support the strategy, and engage all staff in business development activities, including proposal writing.
  3. Institute an effective process to determine which potential project opportunities are appropriate to pursue.
