Top picks from IDS Toronto

Published by Patrick Voisin, February 16, 2017.

IDC member, Melissa Tossell, narrows down her faves!

Schedules can be very busy (especially around the new year when clients and designers alike are coming back from the holidays), and I’m sure not everyone was able to make it to the IDS show in January. Here are a few humble picks from a fellow designer of the things I thought were fabulous, noteworthy, or just plain amazing!

You can check out a small selection below or go to my Facebook page to view my entire series of “Designer Picks” from the show (Twitter folks can view my picks on my Twitter page).

If you attended and have other things you saw and loved and think I missed - hit me up on social media! I’d love to see them! Don’t forget to tag IDC's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so everyone can follow the conversation!

Coloured kitchen faucets from Grohe (Also available in yellow, green, blue, purple, and pink!)

3D Printed Faucet from DXV that was amazing to see in person! Only a select few were made and each takes 48 hours of 3D printing to complete- then a lengthy process of hand finishing.

The most Canadian design pieces at the show! These are prototypes for custom (and WAY better looking) milk bag holders. Go to to pester them into making these a reality!

Very exciting to both see Industrial Designer Nika Zupanc’s amazing pieces and hear her speak about her design process and inspirations. They’re available in Canada now through South Hill Home.
