Hire an interior design student!

Conestoga College in Kitchener/Cambridge, Ontario has senior level Bachelor of Interior Design students available for paid co-op work terms in the fall (Sept. – Dec.) and winter (Jan. – Apr.) semesters. Students are available for a minimum of 420 hours.

This unique four-year program in interior design and architecture studies the built environment preparing students for the industry through professional training in the design, development and presentation of interior spaces. Students are exposed to a variety of residential, institutional and commercial interior spaces. Key areas of study include the design process, building systems and code, occupant requirements, furnishings, colour, light, sustainability, as well as project management.

A Conestoga student can help you with the following:

  • Assist with design and construction drawings manually and with AutoCAD and Revit Architecture
  • Create and render perspective drawings manually and digitally
  • Create tactile and digital presentation boards for interior design projects
  • Research and select appropriate products and materials for interior design projects
  • Assemble product and finish specification information
  • Assist with site measurement, assessing existing conditions and compiling an inventory list
  • Prepare sketches/drawings for space planning and concept
  • Assist with preparation of bid documents
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates
