“Ex” marks the spot for APDIQ’s 80th anniversary

Published by Ignite Admin, February 17, 2015.

This is no ordinary year for APDIQ. Founded in 1935, the association is celebrating its 80th anniversary, making it one of the oldest provincial associations and one that currently supports about 1,000 active members across Quebec.

“We are stronger than ever,” says Johanne Denis, President of APDIQ. “This year brings a renewed opportunity to work towards the recognition of our profession – and we’re ready to hit the ground running!”

To mark this milestone occasion, the association has vowed to continue to protect the rights of interior designers and to advance the profession in Quebec. And, says Johanne, “as a gift to our members, we’ll increase, in Quebec City and Montreal, the number of events and occasions to meet, network, and learn.”

On that note, and to help celebrate this special year, IDC is pleased to announce two DesignEx shows in Quebec: one in Montreal on March 26, and another in Quebec City on April 16. In the afternoon, attendees will get the opportunity to take part in seminars and earn non-IDCEC hours, then network and socialize during a “5 à 7” cocktail hour and help APDIQ celebrate their 80th anniversary.

“On behalf of our association and the Board of directors, I would like to thank our members for their renewed confidence,” says Johanne. “And long live our association!”

DesignEx is the trade show formerly known as a “Table Top” show where over 200 attendees, including interior designers, architects, and others from the building industry, get the chance to see, touch, and sample the latest product and service offerings from manufacturers and suppliers.

IDC runs this popular show across Canada with shows in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland.
