Published by Julia Salerno, August 31, 2011.

Interface founder and chairman, Ray Anderson passed away peacefully on August 8 from a 20-month battle with Cancer. Ray is well known for his legendary work in creating sustainable products. It was Ray's goal to radically reduce the company's foot-print by 2020 - better known as Mission Zero. Since Anderson's vision for the Interface, the company says it has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 35 per cent, fossil fuel consumption by 60 per cent, and waste to landfill and water use by 82 per cent.
