Celebrating outstanding achievement in new product design for the built environment, winners of the annual IIDEX Canada Innovation Awards were announced at a gala dinner at Toronto’s Liberty Grand. This year, 70 products were recognized for their innovative designs, including 15 Gold level, 30 Silver level and 25 Bronze level awards.

Twenty-seven judges from the interior design and architecture community determined the winning projects based on their technical creativity, marketability and design ingenuity. Judging took place directly on the trade show floor at IIDEX Canada, the country’s largest exposition and conference for the built environment. This year, judges chose the winners from a total of 105 entries.

Organized by Interior Designers of Canada, this annual awards program recognizes the best of North American product design from leading manufacturers and suppliers in interior design and architecture.

“Products for today’s interior environments must be competitive on many levels. They are designed with sustainability, well-being and accessibility in mind,” says head judge Valerie Gow. “The winning products meet these rigorous standards while still inspiring a sense of awe. Interior designers rely on superior products like these to create exceptional spaces.
