New Leadership at Zeidler's Calgary office

Published by Candis Green, April 29, 2013.

After a long career with Zeidler Partnership Architects, managing partner and architect Stephen Carruthers announces his retirement. Michael Cojocar and Martin Veenhoven will lead the Calgary studio, both principals with over 25 years of experience.

Michael has led highly publicized public sector work and large mixed-use developments. His career includes Canadian hospitality projects, such as the Banff Springs Hotel and Chateau Lake Louise, and international commissions in Kenya, Vietnam, Russia and Hungary. Michael is working on the completion of The Bow Phase 1 and just starting design of the Quarry Park Corporate Child Care Facility.

Martin has led the planning, design and construction of multi-million dollar projects throughout western Canada and the Northwest Territories, the U.S., Russia and China. As project manager and design architect, Martin has recently completed several projects in Alberta: EPCOR Tower, the Grand Prairie Library and Art Gallery, the Kainai Peacemaking Centre, and the PennWest Towers in Calgary.

Susan Rigaux, office manager for Zeidler in Calgary, helped start the satellite branch in 2001 and will continue overseeing business management.
