Honouree announced for IIDA/IDC Vancouver Leaders Breakfast

    sooz-3-(2).gifIDC is pleased to announce Sooz Klinkhamer as the honouree for the 2013 IIDA/IDC Vancouver Leaders Breakfast.

Klinkhamer, MA, BAA, RID, NCIDQ , FIDI, FIDC, FIIDA, FIDEC, has nearly 40 years experience in the interior design profession. She is a Fellow of IDI and IIDA, was awarded IDC Fellow Membership in 1992 and most recently named Fellow of IDEC in 2010. She practised interior design for 13 years before becoming an interior design educator in 1985. Klinkhamer was chair of the interior design department at Kwantlen University from 1994 to 2005, and retired in 2010. An active volunteer, she currently serves on 2 NCIDQ task forces and participates frequently in other volunteer events in the Vancouver area. Sooz believes “you always receive much more than you give” when participating in volunteer activities.

Launched as a single event in 1989 and expanded into an annual series, the IIDA/IDC Leaders Breakfast has become an iconic event for interior design professionals across North America. In 2012 it will stretch from coast to coast and cross borders with stops in Vancouver, Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta, Toronto, San Francisco and Chicago. The Vancouver Leaders Breakfast will celebrate its third year and will be the first stop of the 2013 tour.
