Correction: Interior Design Benchmarking & Best Practices Survey

Published by Sarah Bradbury, June 28, 2012.

The June issue of ID Connections reported findings from the Interior Design Benchmarking & Best Practices Survey, a study that IDC produced in partnership with Canadian Interiors magazine. While the numbers reported reflect the findings of the survey, they were reported using averages (means) only. The numbers may therefore have been misleading, as averages can be dramatically affected by extreme values in the dataset. For this reason, the findings are replaced using the median. The median is the middle value and is not distorted by extreme values.
