Corus Quay, the new Toronto headquarters for Corus Entertainment, is a 450,000 square foot office and broadcast centre located at the water's edge in East Bayfront. Canada's Sugar Beach is located beside the building. Corus Quay was developed by the City of Toronto and the Toronto Port Lands Company and is part of the waterfront revitalization plan. Corus has consolidated 12 different Toronto locations and more than 1,100 employees into one state-of-the-art facility that includes television studios, radio studios, 20 plus broadcast feeds and a tapeless, file-based broadcast and production centre. Corus Quay's Gold Standard LEED certification puts Corus in elite company, alongside some of the greenest buildings in North America - particularly rare for a broadcast centre. A few years ago the Festival hit the ceiling in terms of its ability to continue to evolve its programs, so it embarked on an initiative to create a formal destination for individuals engaged with and passionate about film.
