2011 Industry Membership Opportunities launched

Published by Julia Salerno, December 22, 2010.

"The interior design association structure in Canada has changed...our goal is to make the profession stronger nationally and internationally."

Last month, IDC launched its 2011 Industry Membership Opportunities to an audience of more than 100 industry and potential industry members. IDC Director of Industry, Ron Hughes and Manager, Marketing, Jenn Taggart, hosted three sessions, where members learned about the recent restructuring and the new opportunities for Industry. Attendees also had the chance to ask questions about national marketing possibilities.

IDC streamlined its new package, with added benefits to many membership levels. We recently partnered with Canadian Interiors. The magazine now offers better ad rates than ever before and has national distribution. The package also includes discounted rates for first-time Industry Members who exhibit at IIDEX. Hughes was pleased to present the attendees with not only a glimpse of the past year's initiatives, such as IDC becoming a member of IFI (International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers) and an increase in trade missions to countries like Denmark and Dubai, but also some news about what to look forward to in 2011.

Industry membership offers manufacturers and suppliers unique brand exposure bringing the national interior design community closer together. Whether on a local level, or coast to coast, IDC membership opens the door to help you promote your brand through various sponsorship, educational, and networking opportunities.

Contact a member of the IDC team to see how we can work together to help put your ideas and marketing plans in place for 2011. Together we can continue to build the profile of the profession on the international stage.
