IDC receives government funding from Global Opportunities for Associations (GOA)

IDC was pleased to bring delegates from countries around the world to connect interior design professionals to industry manufacturers and suppliers at IIDEX Canada 2012, with the help of Global Opportunities for Associations (GOA). This year’s program was a great success, bringing a total of 42 interior design professionals to Toronto to attend the country’s largest tradeshow for the built environment.

Program delegates were invited to attend a welcome reception at the Club Cambria Exhibit, followed by a guided tour of more than 100 export-ready Canadian manufacturers led by IDC board members, and were personally introduced to at least two key representatives from each company. Over the course of IIDEX Canada, delegates participated in offsite tours of Canadian sustainable manufacturers Teknion and Keilhauer, and attended keynote speeches and seminars.

IDC actively involved Canadian trade commissioners from around the world in this program. As a result, a Canadian trade commissioner representative from Costa Rica, who participated in all of the program’s networking events, was able to consolidate an agreement between a Canadian manufacturer and his South American delegates.

IDC would like to thank the Government of Canada for their support and contribution to this program, which encourages growth and development in our industry.
