Young Canadian designer debuts at Boutique Design in NYC

Published by Julia Salerno, November 29, 2011.

Canadian interior designer, Janice Law of Dovetail Design, was recently selected as one of only three companies to represent Stacy Garcia Design Studio's design trend forecast as part of her Trend Walk concept at Boutique Design New York (BDNY), an annual hospitality design fair held November 13 and 14.
Hospitality designers and design firms were invited to submit creative interpretations for one of eight trends forecasted by the Stacy Garcia Design Studio. The four winning designs provided a glimpse into the future and an unforgettable adventure. Janice's trend was called Acid Hip, where she created a 10' by 15' booth designed to invoke an engaging and energizing experience to awake the inner Acid Hipster in all of us.

The simple black box wrapped in bright neon bands draws passers-by into the space and stimulates the senses with bright colours, subtle citrus scent, cold and hard touch of aluminum panels, and the sound of Jazz tracks playing in the back of the lounge. Congratulations Janice on your successful trend forecast exhibit!
