Winners announced at IDSwest 2014 Student Charrette

Students from various design schools in British Columbia came together to participate in the 2014 Student Charrette at IDSwest in Vanoucer, September 26. Using the theme “How small can we go?”, the challenge was to create a micro-loft of no more than 250 square feet that could accommodate at least two adults.

Grouped together randomly in teams, they had six hours to complete their designs. Designers and trade show attendees could walk up and ask questions as the students worked. The final projects were then presented later in the afternoon.

The winning team was invited to attend the SHINE Awards that evening. Congratulations to Sub Zero: Steven Lee from Langara, Yvonne Lum from BCIT, Ken Glass from AI, Terra Fenn from VIU, Danielle Robinson from KPU, and Kathie-Lee Pugsley from KPU.
