    1. How to use the art of storytelling in traditional and social media to grow your business

    If you are a small business owner, there is no doubt that telling your brand story in an authentic way can be challenging. But the fact is storytelling is just as important as any other operation in your business. Your story is what makes you stand apart from your competition and it is the way your community is going to connect with YOU - the person behind your product or your service.

    In this hands-on workshop Jennifer will show you how to implement an authentic storytelling strategy that aligns with your brand, values and business goals so you can reach your target audience and increase sales. You will begin to develop a yearly content calendar that will take the guesswork out of what to pitch to traditional media and what to post on social media.

    Next up you will learn how to master the techniques needed to bring your stories to life on-camera as well as in client sales presentations or workshops. We will focus on delivering your message with confidence using your mobile device and how to dress the part so you captivate your audience.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    1. How to implement an authentic storytelling strategy that aligns with your brand, values and business goals to reach your target audience and increase sales
    2. Workshop activity: (to support the above): how to create a yearly content calendar than can be applied across various storytelling platforms (traditional media and social media) and take the guesswork out of what to pitch and what to post
    3. How to master the techniques needed to bring your stories to life on-camera and make an impact for media interviews, Instastories, IGTV, Facebook Live - can also be applied to client sales presentations, workshops and team presentations:
    • Body language (posture, eye contact, distracting gestures et cetera
    • Delivery and filler words
    • Pace, pitch and tone
    • Dressing for the camera
    • Makeup and jewellery for camera (male or female)
    • Ideal camera lighting, location and position when using mobile devices
    • Workshop activity (to support the above): practice storytelling techniques on-camera using mobile devices and Speaker will do a mini review and coaching of 2-3 audience members on stage
