Webinar: Learn more about the NCIDQ Exam

    Event Date: January 30, 2019
    Registration Deadline: January 27, 2019

Join us for a webinar with NCIDQ ambassador and 2018 Leader's Breakfast Honouree, Victoria Horobin. Victoria will serve as a mentor and provide information about the NCIDQ Exam, NCIDQ Certification, and her personal experiences. Qualification is a critical milestone for an interior designer. It proves that you have the knowledge and experience to create interior spaces that are not just aesthetically pleasing, but also safe and functional.

In today's competitive workplace, NCIDQ certification gives you the leadership to stay on the cutting edge of the profession; it is the mark of professionalism. Today's clients expect you to demonstrate this knowledge in your design. It's just not enough to simply understand the aesthetics of a space. Victoria will be able to speak on her personal experiences as well as guide potential exam takers through the process. She will provide feedback on her experience, share tips and tools of the exam.

Victoria Horobin is a founding principal of the Toronto firm KBH Interior Design Inc., specializing in both private and public sector commercial interior design, with extensive experience in projects in the 10,000 to 100,000 square foot range.

A graduate of the School of Interior Design at Ryerson University in Toronto, Horobin has been in practice since 1987. She brings experience in both interior design and interior construction management, with a focus on workplace and institutional projects. She has also worked extensively with architectural firms and brings a good understanding of complete project scope.

Horobin has volunteered extensively for CIDQ, ARIDO, and IDC, most recently serving as CIDQ President in 2014. Locally, her involvement with ARIDO spans over two decades, during which time she has chaired numerous committees, served on the Board of Management and served as president of the organization in 2002. Through her active involvement with both ARIDO and CIDQ, Horobin has committed to the continuing validity of the North American testing for interior design qualification.
