    IDC Seminar at Urban Encounters Edmonton 2017

    IDA Members can register for an informative IDCEC-approved CEU (one hour HSW) taking place immediately before the Urban Encounters Edmonton trade show. Top up your education portfolio, then attend the table top show - all in one convenient location.

    The table top show is free to IDA members, $5 for non-members - cash only at the door.

    Urban Encounters is a table top trade show held in two locations:  Edmonton and Calgary. The main focus is to showcase the latest products and services for commercial and residential suppliers to the Alberta interior design community. In addition, it is an opportunity to bring the design and supply community together in an informal, social atmosphere to help in the establishment of mutually beneficial client-vendor relationships.

    Seminar: Creating Healthy Environments with Advanced Paint Technology

    This seminar will provide an overview of sustainable design, and the creation of healthier environments using architectural paints. Key topics addressed will include discussions on the components which make up paint; VOCs (volatile organic compounds), independent testing methods and standards; categories of LEED ® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design); the specification of paint systems and green trends.

    PRESENTER: JENNIFER NELSON, ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN SALES REPRESENTATIVE, BENJAMIN MOORE INC. 

    Jennifer Nelson is an Architect and Design Representative with Benjamin Moore who has been working with Alberta’s design community for over than 10 years, with the last two years specifically as adviser for optimum applications from the world of paint. She is a passionate advocate for the role of colour in enhancing everyday life, and strives to weave her energy and passion for design into delivering the best product and educational support for her A & D clientele, including actively collaborating with project teams.
