    Webinar: Furniture in the healing environment (1 IDCEC hour)

    In this course various topics will be discussed including how design and furniture factor into the various areas of healthcare. This seminar will examine the different areas of care: cancer care; aging; inpatient versus outpatient care; caring for the caregivers; how to deal with the diversity of cultures; as well as form versus function. 

    Additional topics of discussion will include:

    • Cleanability and infection control
    • Movability and versatility
    • Sustainability issues including LEED, Net 0 carbon footprint and manufacturing proximity.
