IDC Tour: Colette Grand Cafe, Thompson Hotel (1 non-IDCEC hour)

Following on the success of The Chase and The Chase Fish & Oyster Bar, architecture and design studio AUDAX continued its relationship with restaurateur Steven Salm of The Chase Hospitality Group, on the interior design for Colette Grand Café.

To create a light-filled, French-country-inspired restaurant and café that fit within the masculine and urban vibe of Toronto’s Thompson hotel, AUDAX used a design approach that married traditional elements of a French seaside bistro with contemporary materials, colours and patterns. AUDAX also created a sequence of intimate dining and lounge areas to gradually transition the customer, from an urban glass condo environment on the outside, into the ornamented and whimsical space.
