IDC COMPLIMENTARY WEBINAR: Helping you solve business challenges
    (1 non-IDCEC hour)

Last chance to register: Friday, June 20, 2014 by noon!

IDC is pleased to announce its partnership with the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) – Canada’s voice for small business. CFIB has represented the interests of the small business community to all three levels of government in their fight for tax fairness, reasonable labour laws and reduction of regulatory paper burden.

IDC's goal with this partnership is to help members effectively navigate the entrepreneurial business environment and provide you with discounted access to leading resources for Canadian small business owners.

This complimentary, one hour presentation will outline how business owners can face some of the most common challenges with confidence by benefiting from the experience of CFIB and its 109,000 members. Learn how CFIB can help you:

    • Reduce debit and credit processing costs
    • Occupational Health & Safety issues
    • Workers Compensation (WSIB) issues
    • Lobby all three levels of government to cut red tape and hold the line on taxes
    • Properly document your interactions with governement and government agencies (i.e. CRA), and what you need to pay attention to before signing employment contracts, commercial leases and merchant services contracts
    • Protect yourself from unforseen errors when dealing with Canada’s complex and continuously changing regulatory environment.

Other unbeatable business privilege programs like user-friendly payroll processing, significantly discounted bank rates and free and unlimited access to CFIB Business Resource counselors in every province. CFIB can be your informal human resources department and your first call for help.

Presenter: Nathan Mean, Director of Business Resources, CFIB
Nathan is CFIB's Director of Business Resources that receives approximately 25,000 calls each year from Canadian SMEs on a wide range of operational issues. In his 14 years with CFIB, Nathan has worked as a district manager in Calgary and managed its member services department in Toronto. He has received his BA and LLB from Dalhousie University. Since 2010, he has worked in CFIB’s Ottawa office integrating the business resources’ functions to best serve the CFIB SME community across Canada.
