    IDC Seminar: Changes to the 2012 Ontario Building Code (2 IDCEC hours HSW)

    This two hour seminar will cover changes to the 2012 Ontario Building Code related to Division A, Part 3. The seminar will highlight the differences between the 2006 edition of the OBC and the 2012 edition as well as the rationale for these changes.

    Attendees do not need to bring a copy of the 2012 OBC.

    Les Muniak is a specialist in building code and fire protection consulting, and has been ARIDO's building code consultant for more than 25 years. Les now specializes in the development and presentation of building code related seminars and courses. He has acted as a consultant in building code and fire protection for hundreds of projects and a wide variety of clients. Many of these projects required the development of innovative fire protection and code compliance approaches for building rehabilitation and new construction.

    Mr. Muniak has served on Ontario and National Building Code committees developing provisions for fire safety in the renovation of existing buildings. He has had extensive experience in the application of building codes, fire safety principles and innovative design approaches. He has also developed fire analysis computer techniques, conducted fire investigations, acted as a consultant for legal counsel and developed and presented building code training courses.

    We encourage you to register at least one week in advance. The registration deadline is one week prior to the event.  A $25 late registration fee will be charged after the registration deadline. If you plan on registering at the door, please double-check to ensure that the event has not been sold-out, cancelled, re-scheduled or re-located. A $20 fee will be charged for cancellations received less than one week prior to the event, or a credit for the full amount paid may be used towards any future IDC event. Credits on file will expire after one year. To apply a credit to an IDC event, you must contact IDC before registering. IMPORTANT: No refunds or credits will be issued after the event has occurred.
