    CARDED EXHIBITION at the Cambridge Galleries: Curator's Tea and Tour (1 ARIDO CEU)

    Celebrate the CARDED exhibition at the Cambridge Galleries featuring hundreds of amazing greeting cards by Canadian artists, designers and architects. The exhibition also features two special displays from the Canadian Heroes Series by illustrator and graphic designer Wendy Tancock, and the Doug’s Garage Calendar Collection by artist Doug Guildford.

    Meet the designers and celebrate the CARDED exhibition with a spot of tea, a sweet and a tour of the exhibition led by Esther E. Shipman, curator at Cambridge Galleries IDEA | EXCHANGE Design at Riverside. Fabulous china teacups and saucers have been collected in anticipation of this event!

    Esther E. Shipman
    Esther E. Shipman is an established curator, writer and consultant on design and cultural issues whose work as an arts advocate, policy advisor and administrator is well known and spans nearly three decades. Since 2007, Ms. Shipman has been the curator of architecture and design for Cambridge Galleries, under whose auspices she served as the assistant commissioner for Canada to the 11th International Biennale of Architecture in Venice in 2008.
    She has worked as a consultant to leading companies in the design sector, as well as several not-for-profit arts organizations and provincial and federal government departments. In 1985 she co-founded and served until 2001 as the executive director of VIRTU/Directions in Canadian Design; a highly acclaimed design advocacy organization, pivotal in the development and promotion of new design in Canada and internationally. Ms. Shipman has lectured extensively on design across Canada and abroad and published numerous award winning exhibition catalogues and articles.

No refunds or credits will be issued after the event has occurred.
