    11 a.m. to 12 p.m. | Biophilic Design
    (1 IDCEC hour + 1 GBCI)

Our need to maintain a connection to nature - for our physical, physiological and emotional well being - has been understood by artists, scientists and designers for many years. And most people have known it intuitively ever since the advances of industry began to separate us from natural surroundings.
Today, the benefits to our bodies and minds of this contact with nature are being understood in more and more detail. This increasing awareness has brought biophilia and biophilic design to the forefront of our thinking and behaviour. It's now inspiring domestic and commercial environments around the world. Stephen Kellert describes biophilic design as "great design that recognizes and embrace how humans are biological creatures with deeply rooted biological needs.

    (3 IDCEC hours)

Have you ever wondered how your body language can influence the way customers think and feel about you, your business or your customer relationships? Would it be beneficial to know exactly when your customer is ready to buy your product, service or idea? This highly visual course on body language contains a large number of illustrations and videos that describe in detail various important cues to accurately decode the behaviour of others. Being able to read someone’s body language allows you to compare what they say with what they show in their gestures, body movements and facial expressions and the difference can prove invaluable to you. A lot of body language is carried out unconsciously. As you become more aware of these gestures, you can employ them in your interactions with others and achieve better results in communication. In short, you can have an unconscious effect on others by using these gestures to guide any conversation in the direction of your choice. Register now for this fast paced, highly informative and extremely fun program!
