    RGD Webinar: Research Series: Research-Based Outreach

    Effective outreach starts with research. The more you learn about your constituents, the more respect you garner and the more acutely you can address their varied and complex needs. Conducting meaningful research means asking open questions, following many possible paths, being open to far-fetched possibilities and, most importantly, managing your own expectations. Research-based outreach is not an excuse to pitch to everyone you meet, it's an opportunity to learn and develop credibility within a community of potential clients, allies and strategic partners.  In the end, you will have a solid foundation on which to build an outreach strategy that positions your firm for sustainable growth.

    Speaker: Jennifer Rittner
    Jennifer is a communications strategist who helps creative businesses define their voice and learn how to communicate effectively with their clients. Her goal is to ensure that they develop meaningful relationships with their constituents, nurturing those connections over time and consistently reinforcing their credibility through active engagement. Prior to consulting, she cut her teeth working for the AIGA, Columbia University’s Center for New Media Teaching and Learning and international design consultancy, Pentagram. Since 2008 Jennifer has taught design management at Parsons the New School for Design.
