IDC Webinar BILL 119: How it impacts you ( 1 CEU)

This presentation is an overview of how Bill 119 creates mandatory Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) coverage in the construction industry, and how it will impact those who provide services to the construction sector. Michael will outline the Bill, its changes to the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and the policies created by the WSIB to implement and enforce the Bill. After the presentation, attendees will understand how the Bill will directly impact them, how to avoid penalties, understand why construction clients will be demanding clearance certificates and how they do business with the WSIB. It will also inform those who are not providing construction services and may currently be exempt from WSIB coverage how that may change in 2013, when the Bill comes fully into effect. There will be a full opportunity for questions to be answered.
