Understand and solve the fundamental technical and practical challenges of LED lighting

The Webcast will cover the basics of solid-state lighting (SSL) in a manner that will help product manufacturers and lighting designers to target the LED-based lighting space. LEDs by nature are different from other light sources and present specific technical and practical challenges to newcomers to the technology. Topics we will cover include aspects of color quality that are unique to SSL, and dimming technology given that dimming is strength of LEDs. The presentation will include a broad look at LED lighting products and the design elements behind different product types. Eligible attendees will receive AIA continuing education credits for the presentation upon completion of a brief online examination.
