2:30 to 4:30 p.m. | Seminar: LED Evolution: The Past, the Present and the Future
Solid State Lighting (SSL) or Light Emitting Diodes (LED) has the potential to revolutionize lighting application and design. LED technology has been rapidly advancing and has provided exciting new options in providing illumination for many applications. Governments in both the US and Canada, along with Canada’s leading electrical utilities, have singled out LED lighting as the next generation light source for general lighting in homes, offices, streets, and parking lots. This two hour seminar will educate designers about the differences between these and more traditional light sources, and the performance characteristics of their application. In addition, this seminar will give designers the tools to see through the LED lies and myths. In this ever-changing, rapidly advancing technology, it is critical to know the questions to ask to ensure the best quality. Attendees will leave with a better understanding of everything LED!
