IDC Seminar: Brilliant Green: Utilizing Automation in Smart Green Building Design (1 ARIDO CEU)

This one hour seminar will help attendees understand environmental impacts related to lighting and energy usage. Sustainable design can be applied to basic areas with surprisingly effective results: lighting control, HVAC, window treatments, audio/video systems, water systems and energy monitoring. Energy savings and aesthetically pleasing living can be achieved through full integration using a centralized control system that supports logic-based processing. Hardware integration via “smartsoftware” provides energy savings and automation by adjusting and fine-tuning components using interactive sensors, adjustable timers, and conditional programming using variables and other controls. Learn to design for optimum energy savings using the hardware components of a smart home system and understand the distribution and roles of those components and how they relate to LEED.
