IDC Tour: Conestoga College Institute of Technology of Advanced Learning
Cambridge Campus - Phase One (1 ARIDO CEU)

This new campus building is situated on a 131.5 acre parcel of land purchased from the City of Cambridge, strategically located on Highway 401 at Fountain Street, directly across from the existing Doon campus. It is the main site for Conestoga's School of Engineering and Information Technology as well as the Alliance of Ontario Food Processor's Institute of Food Processing Technology. Opened in August 2011, the Phase One building mesures approximately 260,000 square feet and has enabled Conestoga to welcome over 3,000 post-secondary technicians, technologists and apprenticeship students.

Through a Request for Proposal process, Conestoga awarded the project by design competition to Moriyama Teshima Architects (MTA). Daniel Teramura , partner-in-charge of MTA, put together a team of architects and consultants, which includes the Walter Fedy Partnership and Cobalt Engineering as well as construction manager Vanbots Construction. The interior design of the space was realized by the Moriyama Teshima Interior Design Team.

Conestoga is one of a few colleges in Ontario which has pursued LEED Certification, and in doing so has added to their reputation as one of the top polytechnic colleges in Canada.
