IDC Webinar: Clearing the Air on Sustainability: Why Good Indoor Air Quality Matters

This intermediate course explores the overall concept of sustainability, including the ways in which sustainable design can improve the environment, the economy and human health all at once. Topics include reducing energy consumption, increasing human productivity and decreasing building maintenance costs. Special emphasis is placed on achieving good indoor air quality and enhancing human health, as these are the sustainable attributes with the biggest impact on the overall success of a built environment. Cost analyses will examine average green building premiums and long-term cost benefits. Participants will also learn how to differentiate first, second and third-party "green" product certifications and how to avoid "greenwashing" tactics.
