ARCHITECT@WORK Canada 2019 - CEUs featuring innovative speakers

Event Date: Wednesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 4, 2019

Following its successful Canadian launch in May of 2017, ARCHITECT@WORK Canada is returning to Toronto's Enercare Centre. For the third time in a row, IDC has been selected as an education partner for this international show series.

Registration for entry to the show floor is free. Please use code IDC1400 when registering online.

The Toronto show, like the other 24 worldwide locations where ARCHITECT@WORK operates, features spotlights with dramatic black textiles and complimentary catering for all visitors throughout the event, encouraging networking and downtime as well as deal-making. The global, two-day event is aimed at architects, interior designers and specifiers and is free to registered visitors.

This leading edge design event will once again showcase the latest innovative products, materials, applications and services which have passed stringent judging by a panel of leading Canadian architects and interior designers. Every product and service profiled over two information-packed days will therefore be less than two years old.

IDC has again partnered with ARCHITECT@WORK Canada to deliver a select number of educational opportunities, mirroring the themes of innovation and creativity, as well as tools and techniques to approach some of the key challenges and opportunities facing the Canadian design industry.

    SEMINAR SCHEDULE - APRIL 3, 2019

DESIGNING THE EXPERIENCE DRIVEN LIFE- HOW DOES DESIGN INFLUENCE OUR EMOTIONS AND SENSE OF PLACE?
    1 - 2 p.m.| 1 IDCEC hour (HSW)

Experience – the sum of our interactions with the world around us – is increasingly the focus of design. In a digital era, a one-note, one-dimensional experience fails to impress. Architects and designers have to connect with people emotionally at every moment in their journey, and map how that experience unfolds. In this seminar, participants will learn how to interpret experience from our human scale to deliver environments that are:
