2015 is your year to complete the NCIDQ exam!

Published by Sarah Bradbury, January 08, 2015.

The NCIDQ Certification is the mark of a professional interior designer and demonstrates that you have been educated, trained and examined to protect public health, safety and welfare.

Earning the NCIDQ Certification is an important milestone for interior designers, but it can feel like a daunting and intimidating process. That’s why IDC has organized a number of NCIDQ practice sessions over the next two months to ease you into Section III: the Practicum Exam.

The Practicum Exam requires candidates to produce solutions to several design problems including space planning, lighting design, egress, life safety, washroom design, systems integration and millwork design. Candidates will then interpret a program into schematics, produce plan drawings, and develop appropriate specifications and schedules. Work products must address codes and the principles of universal design.

IDC’s weekend practice sessions are designed to provide an overview of the NCIDQ exam including exam format, study tips, helpful handouts, exam writing strategies and exam simulation.

Find the location nearest you and prepare to make 2015 the year you earn your NCIDQ certification!
