Small business owner or entrepreneur? IDC wants to know…

The week of October 21 was Small Business Week in Canada. Profit Report has found, however, that many small business owners recoil at the term. Many small business owners prefer to be identified as entrepreneurs; a group who are widely defined as people who risk their own capital to create and run their business. They are generally considered to be ambitious, growth-oriented and innovative—as opposed to small business owners, who are basically defined by the size of their businesses.

To our sole practitioner members, IDC wants to know:

Do you prefer to be seen as a small business owner or as an entrepreneur?
