IDC’s Education Committee seeks volunteers

If you have a passion for education and an interest in helping IDC shape the next generation of interior designers, this committee is for you! Join Janice Smith, Education Director on the IDC Board as she launches a new committee to discuss and review programming requirements related to interior design education.

The committee will meet four to six times a year via teleconference, running approximately one to two hours long. Members may be asked to take on additional work outside of the call.

The committee may discuss topics such as:

  • IDC recognition of accreditation/re-accreditation of Canadian Interior Design programs
  • Survey of Interior Design programs regarding ideas for IDC presence in schools
  • Creation of a national competition for students; and
  • Creation of awards and scholarship programs for interior design students and faculty
