IDC issues RFP for insurance provider: member input required

Published by Alexandra Tichinoff, July 30, 2012.

On July 17, IDC issued a request for proposal, seeking an insurance provider for its professional liability insurance program. The purpose of the program is to provide a cost-effective option to fulfill the mandatory insurance requirement for all members across Canada. The RFP has been issued to insurance companies known to focus on the Association marketplace and companies who have reached out to us previously. As an act of good governance, IDC will assess 12 companies, including the current provider. Those offering the best coverage, cost and premium will be shortlisted. The successful company must be able to provide insurance in every province in Canada. IDC’s goal is to announce the Program Broker just prior to IIDEX and to have the company present at IIDEX so you can ask your insurance questions.

To help us inform the successful company, we ask that you take three minutes to complete this survey. Collected responses will be provided to the company to help them put together a program that meets your needs. The deadline to complete the survey is September 5 at 5.00 p.m.
