IDC travels to South America for trade mission to Chile and Brazil

Published by Candis Green, March 27, 2013.

IDC, in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada (DFAIT), travelled to South America for a trade mission from March 15 to 24. The group of 15 IDC members visited Santiago, Chile, and Sao Paolo, Brazil, and spent three days in each city. The purpose of the mission was to assist Canadian companies interested in pursuing business opportunities in South America by introducing them to interior designers, manufacturers, developers and real estate agents and meeting with local trade commissioners who can help Canadians to better understand the requirements for working in international markets.

Diane Paz of 1point0 Interior Design Consultants recognizes the immense potential presented by South America business prospects: “The opportunities in South America are endless. The challenge will be adopting the right business model for the market — and I am ready to take on that challenge.”

Thank you to Interface and Teknion for their generous support on the mission.
